Privacy Policy

GlobeFix is a menu bar utility for macOS published by Launchborn(“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to data when you use the app and when you visit globefix.app. The short version: the app collects nothing, and the website sets no cookies.

The app collects no personal data

GlobeFix has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers and no accounts. It does not transmit anything about you or your Mac to us or to any third party. We operate no server that receives data from the app, so there is nothing for us to store, sell or disclose.

What the app can and cannot see

GlobeFix switches your keyboard layout when the Globe key is pressed. To do that it reads two things provided by macOS: the current state of modifier keys, and a counter of how many key events have occurred. A counter is a number — it does not reveal which keys were pressed or what you typed.

The app does not use an event tap, does not request Accessibility access and does not request Input Monitoring. It runs inside the App Sandbox. It is technically incapable of recording your keystrokes.

Data stored on your Mac

All of the following stays on your device and is never sent anywhere:

• Your preferences: switching mode, menu bar indicator style, custom layout labels, per-app language history (bundle identifiers of apps you switched between, with their keyboard layouts).
• The date your free trial started, kept in the macOS keychain so that reinstalling the app does not restart the trial.
• Purchase status, derived from the App Store receipt on your device.

Removing the app removes its preferences. The keychain entry holding the trial start date is not removed automatically; you can delete it in Keychain Access.

Purchases

Unlocking the full version is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Payment details never pass through us and we never see them. Apple’s handling of that transaction is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

This website

globefix.app is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Workers. It sets no cookies, embeds no third-party scripts, loads no external fonts and runs no analytics. As with any web server, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL to deliver the page and to protect the service against abuse. We do not use that data to build profiles, and we do not combine it with anything else.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights of access, correction, deletion and objection regarding personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to retrieve or erase on our side. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look into it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
